About the platform

Symbolon is a digital marketplace and broker connecting buyers and sellers of PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) in the Nordics — Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. All contact between the parties is brokered by Symbolon — see "No contact outside the platform" below.

For businesses only

Symbolon is a platform for companies, not consumers. The person who creates an account does so on behalf of their company and confirms that they are authorised to accept these terms for it.

No contact outside the platform

By creating an account you undertake not to contact, or enter into an agreement with, companies you find or identify through the platform outside of Symbolon. This applies however the counterparty is identified — including from information in a listing, from an initial dialogue we have brokered, or from any other trace originating on the platform. The purpose is to ensure that Symbolon can broker and facilitate the whole process through to a possible agreement. A breach may lead to closure of the account and a claim for the fee Symbolon would have received on a brokered agreement.

No advice, no binding prices, not a party

The platform does not constitute financial, legal, tax or any other professional advice. Symbolon is not an investment firm and does not give investment advice. Prices and terms shown on the platform are indicative and not binding, unless otherwise agreed directly between the parties.

Symbolon introduces the parties but is not itself a party to any PPA or other agreement between them, and does not guarantee that either party will perform it.

Confidentiality

Information you receive through the platform about other users' listings, and anything shared when Symbolon introduces you to a counterparty, is confidential. You may use it only to assess a possible agreement through Symbolon, and not pass it on to anyone outside your company and its advisers. Symbolon shows other users only what you have made visible, and shares your company's identity only when introducing you.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide about your company, your assets and your listings, and for carrying out your own due diligence on counterparties before entering into an agreement.

Limitation of liability

Symbolon is not liable for agreements entered into between users of the platform, for information provided by other users, or for indirect losses such as loss of profit, loss of business or lost agreements. The platform is provided as it is, and may at times be unavailable.

None of this limits liability for loss caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

Account and access

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. You can delete your account at any time under My profile. Symbolon may close an account that breaches these terms. The commitment not to contact companies outside the platform, and confidentiality, continue to apply after an account is closed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law. Any dispute is settled by the Danish courts.

Changes

We may update these terms as the platform develops. We give at least 30 days' notice by email of any material change. If you do not accept a change, you can delete your account before it takes effect; continuing to use the platform after that counts as accepting it.
