Symbolon is a PPA broker in the Nordics, focused on hybrid PPAs: solar, wind and a battery in one deal, which usually covers more of a buyer’s hours than solar or wind alone. We also broker solar or wind on their own. We find buyers for the power on long-term, fixed-price deals (PPAs) and are based in Denmark. Our tools check, hour by hour, how well a project’s power fits each buyer’s use.

A Power Purchase Agreement is a long-term contract to buy electricity directly from a producer, typically running 5-15 years. The price is agreed up front, so both sides get predictability.

Under a physical PPA the power reaches the company through its electricity supplier. A virtual PPA is a financial contract: the parties settle the difference between the agreed price and the market price, and nothing is physically delivered.

A PPA check is €3,000 excl. VAT, a fixed price paid on delivery, with no commitment beyond the check. When a PPA brokered by Symbolon is signed, the producer pays €0.40 per MWh on the first 100 GWh of contracted volume, €0.20 per MWh on the next 400 GWh and €0.10 per MWh above that, with a minimum of €15,000 and a maximum of €250,000 per agreement, and the €3,000 is deducted. VAT is added. Buyers pay nothing, and listing a project is free.
